    About the Role

    We are looking for a full-time Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Sales team. The successful candidate will be passionate about ThinkData’s product and eager to learn the ins and outs of our solutions to then articulate their value to customers and internal stakeholders alike. The Pre-Sales Engineer provides in-depth technical knowledge and support during client evaluations of the product, as well as enablement and training to ensure smooth product integration within an organization. Ultimately, the Pre-Sales Engineer will be expected to drive complex sales opportunities by translating business requirements into solution technical requirements; coordinating technical expertise; sizing, scoping, defining delivery and deployment approach, timeline, and required resources; coordinating demonstrations and proof-of-concept; and supporting internal deal acceptance. This position will report directly to the VP of Sales.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain relationships with senior technical stakeholders at prospective and existing accounts.
    • Be a trusted advisor to (senior) technical stakeholders and decision makers at prospective and existing customers.
    • Oversee the technical sales activities within the sales process to gain the technical win and win the customers’ trust.
    • Participate in solution-led sales calls and prospect visits, qualifying the customer’s requirements
    • Provide technical expertise on customer product and solution demonstrations
    • Create unsolicited solution proposals and ensure it meets or exceed the customer’s requirements and is fit for the intended purpose
    • Manage the technical or solution response to RFIs/RFPs and orchestration of the virtual teams to help provide a comprehensive consultative response
    • Present a solution proposal to the customer, demonstrate how we solve the customer’s requirements and how this aligns with the customers’ outcomes and differentiate from the competition
    • Retain a competent level of knowledge and technical hands-on experience across Samsung Electronics products, solutions and sales proposition
    • Remain current on data security trends and industry analysts reports and use this knowledge to guide technical sales wins
    • Play a proactive role within your target accounts including building a trusted relationship, monitoring/managing customer issues in partnership with support, expand the existing footprint and drive competitive displacements


    Job Requirements

    • Proven experience within a Pre-sales/System Engineering role
    • Ability to effectively present to contacts at all levels within an organization
    • Proven listening ability with empathy for customers and their challenges
    • Strong experience within Cloud and Virtualization technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP and VMWare
    • Managing Security Operations Center
    • Software-defined networking
    • Hands on experience and positioning of McAfee Products and solutions
    • Network administration & management
    • Network performance monitoring & analysis
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
    • Team-oriented work style but able to operate independently
    • Adept at telling a compelling story about a solution that engages customers and leads them to buy
    • Ability to manage complex situations and many tasks concurrently, both expected and unexpected
    • Comfort conducting demos and participating on calls for extended period of times
    • Experience working in a Salesforce environment with an understanding of the platform, users, and the partner ecosystem required
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Legally eligible to work in Canada
