    Position Overview:

    Provide assistance to the lead hands/ supervisors on the daily tasks of the extrusion operations whilst working as part of a team and independently. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to change while making a significant difference in the operations around you.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1

    Assures the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and maintains high standards of housekeeping

    2

    Performs necessary quality checks as per quality instructions and records

    3

    Operates machinery including overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, conveyors, presses and other required equipment

    4

    Ensures the safe, timely production of goods in line with operating standards

    5

    Performs daily set-up operations and basic preventative maintenance measures

    6

    Assists press operators in packing or shipping products under the supervision or direction of a supervisor, team lead, lead hand or operator


    Skills


    Experience

    • Mechanically inclined
    • Flexibility and willingness to work shifts
    • Good standard of education – ability to read and follow instructions and able to undertake basic measuring calculations
    • Quick learner/Self-starter
    • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
